Switzerland Residence by Investment

- Swiss Residence Program

Switzerland offers residence-by-investment for financially independent individuals through the Swiss Lump Sum Taxation regime. Applicants must agree to pay an annual lump-sum tax based on living expenses — typically starting at CHF 250,000 to CHF 1 million, depending on the canton — without earning income within Switzerland.

Alternatively, wealthy entrepreneurs may qualify through business investment or local company formation, which creates jobs and economic benefit.

Successful applicants and their families gain residence rights, free movement within the Schengen Zone, and access to Switzerland’s world-class education, healthcare, and high standard of living.

Although Swiss citizenship requires at least ten years of continuous residence and strong integration, Swiss residency remains highly desirable for its political stability, pristine environment, and quality of life.
