- Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP)

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) has long been one of the world’s most respected and established residence-by-investment options. While temporarily suspended for reforms, the program is expected to relaunch with updated criteria that continue to attract high-net-worth individuals and their families seeking permanent residence in Canada.

Traditionally, the QIIP allowed investors to secure permanent residence by making a government-guaranteed passive investment (previously CAD 1.2 million) for five years through a financial intermediary, along with a non-refundable contribution to cover processing costs and support economic development in Quebec. The program requires applicants to demonstrate significant management or business experience and a legally acquired net worth of at least CAD 2 million.

Successful applicants and their families receive Canadian permanent residence, unlocking access to Canada’s excellent healthcare, world-class education, and high quality of life. They may settle anywhere in Quebec and, after meeting residency requirements, may apply for Canadian citizenship.

As Canada’s only passive investor program of its kind, the QIIP remains a top choice for families wanting to build a secure future in one of the world’s safest, most prosperous countries.
